Manhã de Carnaval is one of the best-known Brazilian songs (bossa nova) composed by Luiz Bonfa, Brazilian composer and guitarist who became famous after writing the soundtrack for the movie “Black Orpheus” (1959). A movie based on the play "Orfeu da Conceição" by the composer and poet Vinicius de Moraes, in which a mythical history of ancient Greece was adapted to the Carnival of Brazil. Its protagonists give life to two beings who love, dance, and suffer the tragic destiny of Orpheus and Eurydice in a unique and "marvelous" Rio de Janeiro.
