Highway Star was born in 1971 while Deep Purple was on tour. A journalist asked the group how they composed songs and Ritchie Blackmore grabbed his guitar and started playing a sequence of Gs at high tempo. The song was immediately written down and even played at the night's concert. The long guitar solo and organ solo are particularly noticeable. Cover by Evil Onek.
