Variations for solo piano. Arranged for easy to intermediate players, this is technically Mozart's most successful piece. But he did not compose the melody, he only arranged it as a piano exercise. The melody is attributed to the lullaby tradition, passed down through a French oral history, the original poem being "Ah! vous dirai-je, maman" and provides the tune for Bah, Bah Black Sheep and the Alphabet song ("A, B, C, D" etc) amongst others. The five variations are based on the same repeating melody and this score includes chord names and fingering.
