    Lyrics by Peart
    This constitutes about 90% of the song. I re-worked the introduction,
    but it is still almost the same as the original by David Sandberg
    . The entire middle section of the song is missing
    in this tab. It was just too difficult for me to transcribe. Additional
    credit goes to Chuck Bruce for figuring out
    Riff 1, Dave Toussaint for various riffs, and Chris
    Harrison for a correction. The intro is in
    the key of D, then switches to A. It ends in D after the last set of
    lyrics.
    | = not a standard bar line; just used to separate music
    ~ = vibrato or held note
    h = hammer on
    p = pull off
    s = slide
    b = bend string up to indicated pitch/fret
    r = release bend to indicated string/fret
    / = slide up from infinity
    \ = slide down into infinity
    o \_
    o / repeat sign (always look for these!)
    {Intro} - Fingerpicked on a nylon stringed acoustic guitar

    (Note| in this part, the notes in ()'s are played by a second guitar which
    is doubling the lead part.)

    When they turn the pages of history, when these days have passed long ago,
    Will they read of us with sadness for the seeds that we let grow?
    With {Riff 3} x2|
    We turned our gaze from the castles in the distance,
    Eyes cast down on the path of least resistance.
    With {Riff 4} x3|
    Cities full of hatred, fear and lies.
    Withered hearts and cruel tormented eyes.
    Scheming demons dressed in kingly guise.
    With {Riff 5} x1|
    Beating down the multitude and scoffing at the wise.
    {Riff 1} x2
    With {Riff 2} x1|
    The hypocrites are slandering the sacred halls of Truth.
    Ancient nobles showering their bitterness on youth.
    With {Riff 3} x2|
    Can't we find the minds that made us strong?
    Can't we learn to feel what's right and what's wrong? What's wrong?
    {Guitar Solo and middle section} all skipped here - sorry (someday...)
    I did manage to tab out the section from 3|51 on. The chords in
    ()'s are played by the first guitar, while another breaks off to finish the
    solo.

    With {Riff 4} x1|
    Can't we raise our eyes and make a start?
    With {Riff 6} x1|
    Can't we find the minds to lead us closer to the heart?
    (Note| as above, the notes in ()'s are played by a second guitar which is
    doubling the lead part.)
