Taylor swift is an American singer/songwriter born in 1989. She started playing guitar and writing songs at a very young age. When she was 14, her family moved to Nashville to help her with her music career. Not long after, she was signed to Big Machine and by the age of 16, her debut album was released and included hits such as Tim McGraw, Our Song, and Teardrops on My guitar. The following year, she released a Christmas album entitled Sounds of the Season. During this period, Taylors Swift started opening for many country acts such as Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, and George Strait. In 2008, the beautiful eyes EP came out. The EP was a success and it rose to first place in the Billboard country charts pushing her debut album to second place. That same year, her second album Fearless came out and turned out to be the best-selling album of the following year. Her first single for the album Love Story was a success in the country charts as well as in the pop charts while her second single White Horse won her two Grammys. In 2010, her album Speak Now shot straight to number one on the billboard 200 charts. The album entirely written by Swift included the hits Mean, Ours and Sparks Fly. Two years later, her album Red came out which sounded more pop than any of her previous works with singles such as We are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Were Trouble. Followed in 2014 by her album 1989. Moving completely away from the country genre, 1989 was a pop commercial success with hit tracks like Shake It Off, Blank Space, Bad Blood, and Style. The album also received 3 Grammys. All three of these albums sold over 1 million copies within the first week of their releases making her the first women in history to do so. With her autobiographical lyrics and smooth transition from country to pop, Swift is forever gathering more fans.
