Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo

Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo is an Australian country-folk group formed in 2005 by Emily Barker and the all-female trio of Anna Jenkins, Jo Silverston and Gill Sandell; the latter collectively providing backing harmony vocals and respectively play violin, cello and musical saw, and accordion, piano and flute. The band’s album, Despite The Snow, was recorded in live sessions in a 16th century barn in Norfolk, UK. Self-released in November 2008 on Barker's own label Everyone Sang, the album garnered much praise.
