Direc-t

A car accident resulted with the formation of the band Direc-t in 1997. The godfather of the band's name Direc-t (post in Turkish) was a post that they crashed into. The members of the band at that time decided to stick with the name Direc-t as it was appealing to the band's members Alex Tintaru joined the band in 2000 as the bassist. Direc-t won its first music award in 2001 at the Roxy Music Awards. In 2002 the band shares the same stage with David Byrne, Pulp, Sneaker Pimps and Carl Cox at the Alternative Festival in Istanbul.
